Our E-Flite UMX 'X' Aluminum Motor Mount with 5mm shaft is CNC machined from billet aluminum. These mounts are very strong and light weight.
The aluminum 'X' mount will fit into the original UMX motor mount (as the stock motor did) securing it in place with the 2mm screw. It will then allow you to attach a larger 1306 or 1806 style brushless motor.
When upgrading the motor on the E-Flite UMX models, it is important to replace the ESC to properly match the new motor / prop combination you choose.
Motor mounting slots are for 2mm screws.
Installation:
- Attach new motor to aluminum 'X' mount with supplied M2 x 4mm screws.
- Attach mount to firewall on model using M2 x 10mm screw

Notes: Verify that motor mounting screws do not interfere with internal windings of motor.
Proper ESC should be run with new motor / prop combination. Other electronics may need to be replaced for model to operate properly.
Center of Gravity should always be checked and adjusted per the user manual after installation of a new motor.
